Well, the first thing I did on my new Beta account was roll a new Death Knight.
After playing through the “campaign questline” blizzard designed exclusively for the Death Knights and doing my favorite quest lines in the game (the Western Plagueland Cauldron Quests), I was about 9 bars from level 60, so I decided to go to the outlands.
Here I planned to grind some of the mobs in Legion Front. They provide very quick exp, they are “easy” to kill and will help me finish off my level. After level 60 I would proceed to doing my Outlands Quest cycles.
The DK class, is simply OVER POWERED. My whole time grinding, I did not drop below 90% health. i was not being conservative either. I’m spec’d Unholy, which is a decently high damage spec. I burned through mobs quickly in about 4-5ish hits. Not dropping below 90% health once. No downtime at all.
I told myself as I was actually “creating” the character:
“I will roll one now because I know everyone on my blog is DYING to hear about them, but when it comes to retail, EVERYONE will be playing them… so I will stick with one of my other characters “
Even though I’m pretty stubborn and I stick to my word.. I have totally changed my mind. Tons of people will be playing this class, and they SHOULD. It’s a very fun class with a very new feel to it.
Right now it’s just simply over powered.
On the beta we are able to run 5man DK groups. Which is kind of scary.
I thought the reason for implementing this character was to eliminate the “need” for player roles, such as warriors, since every group needs one.
But with a large band wagon of players jumping to play the Deathknight, what if the class became the game? Why pick up a hunter for a group, when you can add another DK? Why use a priest, when DK’s can virtually keep themselves alive?
However, I know for a fact I will be rolling a Death Knight of my own when it comes to retail.
I know this sounds a little dramatic, but what do you think about the death knight having the potential to literally taking over the game?
Will your current characters just collect dust because they will be of no use?

I received my e-mail today, that I have been waiting for quite anxiously:
You have been selected to participate in the beta test of World of Warcraft®: Wrath of the Lich King™. Welcome!
So very shortly after I started installing and waiting my journey into WotLK.
The download is actually 1.88g so it was a lot more then I expected and it took a bit of time.

I’m currently installing it as I write this blog post. I’m sure you can imagine how pumped up I am about getting this installed finally.
I also know, that unfortunately not EVERYONE gets a beta key. In fact, most players DO NOT get a beta key at all, some don’t even want it.
But everyone wants that inside, look before everything comes out right?
Well that’s exactly what you are going to get.
I just started a new category dedicated to WotLK. This is actually going to be a double-edged sword.

Not only am I going to give you that inside view of Wrath, but i’m going to be gathering resources, strategies, techniques, and building you the most comprehensive guides…. BEFORE the game launches.
This way, you will be ready for the expansion before it even launches.
Make sure you stay tuned.
P.S. If you didn’t notice, our site has been totally redesigned! You can also subscribe to our newsletter in the top of the box. (That means I recommend you subscribe! I will send you e-mails with updates on blog posts, guides, and all that good stuff.) See you on the inside!
