So I have to apologize to everyone today.
For the longest time I have claimed that I have been the top gold farmer, collecting thousands of gold at fast rates. Doing so quicker then anyone else, and also massing more gold then anyone else.
In fact, I used to take on challenges from people on new servers, rushing to “x” amount of gold. I never lost (yeah yeah I’m talking myself up).. but luckily for my ego’s sake I wasn’t challenged by this player I just met.
Even though my strategies have profited thousands of players make hundreds, thousands, if not tens of thousands of gold I have to step down from my soap box.
I still play the game, on multiple new servers testing new strategies. I love trying new stuff, and sharing it with everyone! It’s really a lot of fun. I love watching my gold meter jump exponentially like I show you in my gold guides.
For those of you who have my guide, you know how great my strategies are right? I have hundreds of players who will vouch for the fact that I have developed some solid, ground-breaking strategies. So they are NOTHING to laugh at.
But what if I said I was showing you the WORST way?
What if I told you that everything I said should be FORGOTTEN… what would you say?
I know this sounds super super dramatic but it’s not far from the truth. I recently got in touch with a player who is truly, an economic GENIUS when it comes to world of warcraft, and other virtual games.
This may come as news to some of you but I used to sell gold, sell characters/accounts but I turned away from this when blizzard cracked down on their security, mainly because I didn’t want a lawsuit. I did pretty good selling these virtual goods but this is LIGHT WORK when it comes to the guy I met.
He doesn’t want me to give away his name so let’s refer to him as MR. X. (this is mainly for his protection, he has sold A LOT of gold and characters. Even though he has turned away from this also - he DOES NOT want any lawsuits).
As you will see here shortly, this guy is truly the real deal. He has farmed tens of thousands of gold on multiple servers - sold it on multiple websites including MarkeeDragon.com - Ebay.com and he made it on such a large scale that he actually became a PRIVATE dealer to some of the chinese farming companies. (It’s ironic how that works..hah)
Mr. X was pretty much the equivalent of 20-30 Chinese farmers. He could make so much gold on demand that these large companies DEPENDED on him to fill orders.

So now that my warning is out of the way.. I had the great opportunity of talking with this guy for hours, sharing our discoveries. Testing new strategies and discovering even more strategies.
He actually taught me a lot and I know SOO much more about the economy. It’s actually easier now then it ever has been before. I give most of this thanks to him.

However.. It’s terrible for me because after claiming you are the best for so long, it’s hard to find out that you were just a drop in the bucket compared to someone else.
It’s all a very positive thing though. After meeting him it has amplified my gold income by a huge amount. I know it’s going to do the same thing for you guys too. I hope you are excited about it as I am!

You cannot honestly make a claim on that throne, if you simply rest on your past accomplishments. Just like in the real world, people out there come up with new tricks at an alarming rate.
That being said, I’m looking forward to Mister X’s input. I belive it takes iron to sharpen iron, and the financial powers of you two juggernauts should be able combine into an unstoppable force that will make all of us richer

See, this is why i don’t claim a title…my husband says he’s the “best hunter” in WoW…pffftt, imo, WORST. (sry that’s not fair lol). i have three 70s, working on a 4th (bord much, me?), and my husband thought i was nuts when i got the guide…until he saw me on my epic flyer on my main. i tried playing AH, but i hate AH with a passion, what worked best for me was dailies…the shattered sun dailies to be exact (9 of them all in one spot=100gx3 70s…), but i’d love to find something a little bit faster than doing dailies every night.
anyways, u humbled yourself, relinquished your throne to someone with equal or maybe greater (sry about the ego thing…) skill than you…join forces…and make nice with us and share these secrets…pretty plz?

You have accomplished heaps and helped so many of us. I love the stuff you’ve share. I am leveling 4 toons and the same time. The fact that you show numorous ways to make gold is great. At the moment I love the AH and I know what to sell to make gold.
I am not going out of my way to make heaps of gold yet!….lol As leveling is time consuming. But in short I share things between my toons to help get there skill level up. I just took on jewel crafting. I have a black smith and an Enchanter!!!! and the all mine.
Two toons are around lvl 12, the other 2 are around level46 all horde.
I can only asume that we can all look forward to bigger and better things. If there is a better (an easier) way I want to know. I truly believe the game starts when you reach level 70. My goal is to have 4 level 70s and I strong, active and productive gold producing strategy.

I hope your not the one chargeing 20 gold for lvl 6 green dagger at these prices you have to buy gold to start on a new server. Any thing green now is overpriced and its being done on all servers US and Europe, and I hate it. I hope that is not the new strategie. Because it wrong.

Derek, what you did was develop a proven method for anyone to make more gold than they were used to. I have the guide, and dont use it like I should, yet I can easily make enough gold in a short amount of time with all my characters, so I am seeing results. I am far from needing to save up for the epics, but for now I keep myself in acceptable armor and weapons. I still say thanks for all you do. I think its great that you found new ways to make gold. Maybe some of the new techniques will work for me, but im happy for now.

Derek, don’t look at it as being removed from your throne. rather look at it as an opportunity to improve on skills once thought to be mastered. You never stop learning. This is simply another chance for you and the rest of us to improve our gold making skills.

I hate horde..and Derek, seeing you are a horde player, hope you dont get mad. Yea, thats why in AV when i was on my 70 NE hunter with lvl 60 gear, some tauren druid killed my pet. He made me mad, so i beat the balogna out of him. (he died) HE didnt touch me.
Yeah, so, in the guides, leveling, ive tried looking up certain quests on thott…
…and couldnt find them. I dont see the exact coordinants* for the quests-and i even have an addon. Im talking about my level 34 gnome warlock who finished in Ashenvale…dont know after that. OH, I HAVE A QUESTION– if i take my level 10 NE hunter to Westfall and quest, will i get the same amount of XP as i would if i stayed in Darkshore? I am very familiar with the SW area and around there. Please reply to my email. (For the record, i have Derek’s Leveling and Gold guides).

I have a some suggests and what not for your next version of ur gold making guild.
I have found some very fundamental key ways of making gold, that work extrexmely well and have vertually 0 risk..
I bought your guild a while ago, and I must say, it was a good stepping stone, but frankly, thats it, It felt like a collection of information put together, with only tiny tid bits here and there on how to use it.
Not saying I feel ripped off, because your guid definatly put me in the right direction buy showing me all the mods to get,
But all the links on the file I got where outdated / needed to search for the newer ones, then there is auctioneer advanced that is slightly that auctioneer,
The list of proff leveling is out dated (some stuff told me to make till 340 and was GREY at 330 thus giving no training exp)
I have descouvered ways of dominationg and controlling the auction house, how to play the game, how to constantly be the one making all the sales.
You’r guild has no real in depth strategies on how to become a actual WAR LORD of your server.
I plan on totally dominating my servers auction house.
Right now a huge income I have is I ovver my guild if anyone wants to farm primals, they can cod or trade mt me anytime and I will have it paid off asap. Some guildies make over 200g a day from me, but then I turn around and sell in AH for 10 to 15g profit each, and make 2000g a day just from that.
My goal is to make 25000g then spend it all in the AH. Totally buy all the essental stuff out. then raise the price drastically.
Then buy out when everanyone trys selling that type of item cheaper.
so far I have done with is wool cloth, silk cloth, thick leather, and netherweave cloth and have made around 500g each from each.
I have Lots of tips and stuff I could tell you derek to put in your next guide.
Stuff like.
How to domninate certian item markets.
How to use multiple bank characters to seem like cometiettion and insure that when EVER a BUYER buys an item, it is from one of your characters. (people tend to dislike the names of characters that raise the prices a lot… more willing to pay their compeditors.)
How to undercut people, even if your are going to make a little bit of a loss, in order to get him to undercut you, so you can BUY OUT all his stock at cheaper prices.
How to bully people out of the AH and insure your HIGH prices are what is paid.
What items are guarenteed to make steady income from buy and sell
For people who are scared of spending or using AH using the Bottomscanner for just DE. and then make other skill that uses an item that you are dominating in the AH, so you can use over flow stock to make items, to DE to sell the shards/ dust / essence for more money.
How to Multi box - Use multiple accounts at once where they all wear the same gear, and are the same class, stand in the same spot and do the same thing (I have asked a GM if it is OK because I was killed by someone doing that, and I said they where botting… and hte GM said it is called multi boxing and it is allowed)
This strategy - Multi boxing - can making you the most gold.
use 4 accounts and have 4 mages, and when farming every time you hit something or AoE its x4 damage… basically making you a total killing and farming machine.

BIg way to make money.
Sell horde only zone drops on netural AH if your horde
and alli only stuff if you are alli!
example, Pattern of robe of Arcana. SO far, I believe it is still you can only get this pattern from a alli only starting zone.
I make big bucks buying and selling these.
Buy em for 10 to 15g each and sell for 100g each.
others are pets, twink items, other recipies / patterns
Right now I have 2 accounts active.
One is online 24 / 7 at the AH. (on a different machine) and I check the AH and scan constantly, and buy from markets I am dominating all day long.
My friends know how to do it now too, so when they are over, people randomly just surf the AH buy and sellling.
I use every character slot of my BANK account to dominate certian parts of the AH.
Don’t want just 1 character controlling everything, people get reallly pissed off at you
I wonder if anyone has ever got to 1 million gold.

Yo, slime. I know what the max gold # is. The number is in the 9s. It is not 9999999999 or anything like that. Pretty sure it has 5 digits in it. Ill have to look it up again. But whenever you start on a NEW SERVER, you have to have at least a high lvl to have $. Cant just walk into VC, get twink items and then go sell them. (not @ lvl 1)
LEVELING—- Also, i have a 70 and a 11. I make the 11 accept quests, and then have the hunter (70) do all of the dirty work while 11 is on /follow. Works great…and dad suggested that i do that-as i said, works great.

I noticed someone above mentioned about “a lvl 6 dagger for 20 gold”. Great point you made, thats what they promote in guides is to upsell everything and it in itself destroys the economy. The only way to repair the economy is to not buy the items at such an overpriced rate. (consumer strike) lvl 10 dagger, 2 gold, sure I’ll buy it, but more then that i stay with the crappy one, as buying at such a high rate just promotes the upsell ideas and is completely ridiculous. And lets be honest if you are not a twink, then below lvl 60 doesn’t matter what you wear for gear for the most part to level up, i have leveled toons to 40 with whites on just to see that it is relatively easy to still fight with whatever you are playing.

Good point Chris. I have done the same with leveling in crap gear. The only reason you would need good gear is if you are pvping. Also, i have seen items on the AH for ridiculous* marked high prices. Like for a gun about 2-3 hundred damage= going for 1400gold. I just hope that people havent gotten into my server with this gold making/cheating people off idea. Im starting to see it sadly and am beginning to turn away from these types of guides. Sry to burst your bubbles people, but that is what it really is. Cheating people. Like it??

I bought the leveling guides and yes they worked great until I reached the 60s. Then they were repeats on each level. then when I hit level 64, the guide refused to load, and gave an error. Derek promised us an update real soon back in March. Now, he is trying to sell another guide, but will not even update current customers on the status of the promised update. his email just gives automated replies. Don;t get me wrong, the guide definitely helped me get to 60 fast, but then left me high and dry after that. Until he either provides an update or at least gives his customers a status update, I’m certainly not going to buy yet another guide from him. Take care of your customers if you want repeat customers!!!!!

hey man sorry to hear the new about not being the best but I wouldn’t say your a drop in the bucket.
I got your gold guide a while back ok my mom bought it for me but that another thing lol. I looked it over and a lot of it is very good. now I must admit that I haven’t been super religious as maybe I should with it but it does work to make some fast cash.the only thing I wish I saw more was the pic for grinding and that micro grinding deal. I’m on a PvP server and I’m horde. and a lot of those areas you showed was a stone throw from major alliance forces and 99% of the alliance I come across if there too low to attack me they call in 7 70’s just to mess with me when I was minding my own.
I would like to see some of the location for outland ore and where to go to get tons of it. I hope that the info you got will be put in a downloadable so we can get a copy for our home useage.

I payed the extra 7$ (could have gone with a cheaper guide) but I got this one cuz it said “life time free updates”
so if he releases another guide, which is for GOLD MASTERY and farming, and doesn’t give it to his customers who already have paid and have been given that agreement could sue him for FALSE advertising.
frankly, it is the reason I paid more for this guide, and I am hoping that will pay off

You know Slimebucket, I’m sure Derek knows all about dominating Item Markets, but hasn’t told everyone this information because when a lot of *********s like you decide to jack up the prices to ridiculous prices the whole server suffers, and in turn you not only screw over the economy for everyone who’s playing on that server, but you ultimately screw yourself over when no one can afford anything.
But yeah, have fun with your mountain of gold (that you’ll do nothing with) knowing that you made a ridiculously time consuming game become even longer and more tedious for everyone else so you could just sit there and say “omg i gotz over 9000 WoW goldz! i win!”

I also bough the leveling guide and is also stuck.. I also notice that the leveling guide is showing the same quest 60 - 62 i can’t load the guide at 64 as Craig said.. I hope that Derek soon will tell os when the fix is to be released.. Coz. it’s not fun to spend money on something you can’t use.. So to Derek i hope you read this and we get at least on the webside an answer on when the fix is coming.. I know that you are busy and i love the guide bought an other guide before your but your are the best..just missing the fix

Okay, so my realm was down today because of the regular work they do on it. I got on another server, and the people were talking about how in the new patch, level 30s will be able to get mounts and ride them. Someone said 35gold for training. The people were saying it was under ptr or something like that on Blizz’s website. Is this true about next patch? That lvl 30s will be able to ride mounts?

On my (alliance) server, the AH is full of overprized stuff and I recently asked a person for 1 enchant which would cost me 600g. As new (newbie, noob) first 70, it’s a hard work grinding to get good basic gear. (Getting ganked by horde players of level 70 that comes along - played more years than me). Yes, you arrive at 70 and realize you are a baby 70, a new beginning. I also had to make gold for first flying mount, having 75 riding skill with Reins of Winterspring Frostsaber - that was 580+800+100=1480g for basic flying mount. So, I arrive there at 70 and suddenly ‘need’ a lot of new stuff, now available and in plain view. However, I do lots of AV (Honor, Marks) and the other BG’s (additional Marks) for gear - plan to do Arena later, when I finish getting Merciless and putting jewels and enchants on those. Being busy some days, couple of weeks in my case, playing a lot, im quite happy with the new gear and specs. Especially happy with flying mount. At 70 you make lots of gold doing simple quests and daylies - so my worries are over, mainly the worries of lacking gold. At 70 you just make it. Except for reputation in various places and the fast flying mount training of 5000g, needing gold is not a big deal - needing reputation is just a long deal, not a hard one - I work on other chars - now they (alts to the 70) get a more easy life and can level up proffesions easily and at 70 they get the 70 quests of gold instead of xp, all over again. My advice is to level up the main to 70 at all costs, then work on the alts. Forget about gold until you have 1 level 70. Forget about ganking other 70s until you feel maxed in gear and what enchants, jewels and whatnots you put on gear. Theres plenty of gear and good weapons in the quest rewards to 70. Ask for help on harder quests and help others, so you make friends. - Dwarf Hunter, Alts: Mage 25, Pala 44, Druid 21, Rogue 12, Warrior 10, Shaman 8, Warlock 6 - On another server, horde, low level warrior and bloodelf hunter (Good place for a DK later, and now I dont play there very much).
