Making Gold from Professions.

By: Derek in Gold
Apr 25

Ever since the [tag]Burning Crusade[/tag] expansion hit, the economy of WoW was turned upside down.

It’s no longer efficient to grind mob after mob, which is great!

Blizzard still made it possible, and obviously profitable to grind some mobs if you wanted to!

But for those people (like me) who don’t like killing 250,000 mobs a night to get [tag]5000g[/tag]. We still have plenty of ways to collect gold without [tag]grinding[/tag] mindlessly.

Professions give us the option right now to make loads of gold. Everyone is rushing to build their crafting profession up.

It’s our turn to take advantage of this! My two favorite [tag[professions[/tag] right now are Mining and Herbalism.

The reason why I love these [tag]professions[/tag] is because it’s making me a killing!

One character is Mining/Skinning, and the other is Herbalism/Skinning.

The most obvious point is that collecting these herbs and ore in the [tag]Outlands[/tag] because its “new”.

But it’s just as easy to cash in on other ore and bars back in the Azeroth!

Point and Case, I farmed Tin, Copper and Silver (To make Silver Bars and Bronze Bars) to sell on the auction house.

In 2 weeks, I made 3650g. This is from about 30-45 minutes of collecting each day for that 2 week period.

For my herbalist, I usually prefer to stick inside the Outlands though. There are far too many herbs to be picked, while all the alchemists are neglecting it.

Most of our herbs are very “rare” on the [tag]auction house[/tag], so it will do you well to look out for these herbs.

These sell NO LESS then 20g a stack as of right now on the 4 servers I play on.

Heres your [tag]Herbalism[/tag] Lookout list:

Fel Lotus 4.5g/piece
Mana Thistle 4g/piece
Dreaming Glory 15g/stack
Nightmare Vine 35g/stack
Netherbloom 40g/stack
Felweed 15g/stack

Here’s your [tag]Mining[/tag] Lookout list:

Silver Bars
Tin & Copper (For Bronze)
TrueSilver Bars
Eternium Ore (Rare drop inside any node 300+)
Fel Iron Ore
Adamantite Ore
Khorium Ore

All of these sell for a very nice price.

In fact each day I always see someone spamming in the trade channels “WTB Khorium” because not enough miners are putting it on the auction house.

You can create your own market right now with these materials because crafters are going crazy.

You have hundreds of blacksmiths, hundreds of jewelcrafters and hundreds of alchemists all going after ore and herbs, and you are their supplier, sometimes their one and only supplier.

When it comes time to sell, don’t spam all of your auctions on the auction house all at once. This will ruin your income, and your market.

Your buyers will turn into your competition. The reason being is they will see 9 auctions with full stacks of what they want. They already think these items are either rare, or a hassle to gain. Thats the reason they are buying them from you.

Now when they notice you flooding the Auction House with that item, they wonder “What is this guy doing to collect all of these?” then they study the item and find out how to get it themselves and then you lose out even more!

So it’s very important to list your auctions slowly, or spread them through 3-4 different characters that you have.

Case and Point, herbalism and mining are your new pathways to collecting 5,000 gold for that desired epic flying mount!

If you tried hard enough, maybe 2-3 hours a day of farming herbs and ore, you can easily collect for your epic mount in 1 week, probably less.

If you like the idea of making money from professions, then I know you will also like this: WoW Cash Creating Guide

It shows you in depth how to make gold from professions and other abstract ways to collect gold that is so simple, so easy, it will blow your mind!

Where to farm epics in WoW.

By: Derek in Gold
Apr 23

Here’s a commonly asked question!

This is a question that you will ask yourself until you find a method that works for you.

Back when I went [tag]epic hunting[/tag], which was very easy to do, I would bring in 5-6 epics a week.

Back then epics sold between 200-800gold. So I was brining in a solid 2250 a week.

Epic farming is extremely fun when you start seeing all the blues and epics drop.

But it’s extremely boring when they aren’t dropping.

It takes a while for epic’s to drop - so the full time your [tag]grinding[/tag] your thinking, and re-thinking and questioning your thoughts on drops.

If you haven’t realized - the epics are world drops. Meaning mostly any mob can drop them, and they are pretty rare - thats why thottbot and allakhazam loot tables don’t show mob drops so well.

The method I use for epic farming is actually very simple.

Quick Kills + Descent Drop Rate.

I don’t know the exact drop rates, or the best mobs to kill. But I know what works for me!

The common thought is that blizzard made it harder to get epics from mobs easier to kill - but easier to drop from harder mobs. It makes sense so there’s a balance between what you kill.

This usually results in people trying to find elite mob packs out in the world to try and kill 15 of them in an hour to get some [tag]epic drops[/tag]. I hate to say it, but 15 of any kills, isn’t going to warrant an epic.

So what I do is I fight the “inbetweeners”.

I FARM Scarlet Monestary and Zul’Farrak. Most of my time spent in Zul’Farrak. Another place I enjoy farming is both sides of Maraudon.

The reason why I like to farm these places is because:

#1 - It’s an instance, so I’m guaruntee’d blues to vendor or disenchant for some extra money.
#2 - I can kill every mob, without fear of PvP.
#3 - The mobs are Elite, so the loot tables are “higher” but the kills are still pretty easy.
#4 - The mobs are elite, so their coin drop is higher.

Farming these isntances is how I was pulling in around 2,000g a week.

It’s a lot different now farming in the [tag]Outlands[/tag] - and for tips of farming in Outlands you can sign up for my list on the right - you also get a Free Guide for signing up.

Inside the list I will be giving farming, leveling, and [tag]gold tips[/tag]!

Get into Zul’Farrak and Scarlet Monestary! Farm the epics and get your gold flowing in.

Have you tried my method? Post up your comments on how well it worked below!

I wanted to talk about Grinding vs. Questing. It’s always an argument inside of the game:

“which style of leveling is quicker”, or “Which one is better”.

It’s been proven that the top levelers use [tag]questing[/tag] but that’s because they use it effectively.

If you don’t believe me check out:

Joana for Horde

and

Brian for Alliance

These two hold the records on both sides for leveling 1-60 and 1-70.

Both of them have under 5 days /played (Game time inside of the game) rushing to level 60.

Their characters are not twinks, they are not on old servers - they are on brand new ones. Please tell me you can beat their time with grinding!

Joana and Brian are so successful with questing because they use “Quest Cycles”.

I am the leading spokes person for quest cycles, well self proclaimed. But the reason being: I used to sell WoW accounts.

I would level accounts up to 60 quickly, and sell them to other players, so getting to 60 the quickest would make me the most money. By far Quest Cycles worked the best.

This is a very simple concept to grasp, but it turns out to be a very complicated process.

For a newbie I don’t recommend jumping into any of your self-built quest cycles and trying to level up to 60 or 70 quickly.

It just will not work that way. Simply because you don’t have the full knowledge of all the quests in WoW. As a newbie you could easily hit 70 quickly by using Brian’s Guide or Joana Guide, using their quest cycles.

So if you are a beginner I strongly suggest you pick up one of those depending on your faction.

If your a “do it yourselfer” then I recommend going through every quest 1-70 and then finding a formula that works best for you.

When all else fails though, grinding is the best! You never want to find yourself running around hopelessly looking for quests.

If you feel you ran out of quests for your level, you will want to just sit back camp some mobs and grind out a level or two, because you always want to be gaining experience, that’s why a quest cycle is so important.

Grinding is the best method for newbies, besides those two guides. With [tag]grinding[/tag] you can level from 1-70 in a reasonable amount of time, but it’s a lot of work! When you get more experienced, or you have the aid of a guide, you can level from 1-70 in double time because you are using quest cycles to your advantage.

What I did (when I just started leveling characters for money) is I bought both guides for each faction. Used them and applied them to my characters. After I used it 1-2 times I understood how quest cycles work, and I customized it for how I preferred to play the game.

This increased my time, where I can almost compete with Joana or Brian now if there were another competition.

I am a strong believe in [tag]power questing[/tag] and because of the burst of experience and they aren’t as boring! Grinding gets dull after the first hour.

Eventually when you hit the outlands you will have no choice but learn how to quest.

Grinding levels out take so long. Then theres hundreds of quests that will last you all the way until 70.

So when the hammer hit’s the nail, [tag]Questing[/tag] is the best when you know how to use it.

If you don’t know how to use it, but you want a step-by-step blueprint of your journey from [tag]1-70[/tag] or anywhere in between check out:

Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide
&
Brian’s Alliance Leveling Guide

By far the best guides out there created by the pro’s who experienced leveling themselves.

I wish you all the best in leveling! Make sure you start up a quest cycle today! Even if it’s for a small level bracket, that’s how you start!

When all else fails, sit back and follow the guide of one of the best [tag]World of Warcraft Power Leveling Guide[/tag] on the market.

I just wanted to throw you guys a WoW Gold Making Guide so you can start making some money!

The first thing I wanted to speak on is Vanity Items!

Vanity Items are GREAT in WoW.

These are simply items, that are SIMPLE to farm, find or even craft. But they sell for high prices.

Why? Because they look nice, or they are special.

For instance, EVERYONE rogue wants a Blood Elf Bandana.

As soon as I saw one of these drop and i put it on my rogue, I immediately started to farm them to sell.

They sold for about 50g a pop. When I stopped selling them, they sold for about 35g a pop.

Why? Because Everyone wants one, but NO ONE wants to farm them, and out of the group of people who want to farm them, only a select few know how to farm them, thats why I created this WoW Gold Making Guide!

Vanity Items come in various shapes and sizes!

You can sell complete Armor sets, that just “look cool” and sell them as a package deal for 4 to 5 times the price it took to make them.

Some various costumes: Wizard Costumes, Traveler Costumes, Pirate Costumes.

Everyone wants these! Just to casually walk around the main cities in their cool new outfit!

Another thing I look out for are “Rare” vendor items. I especially look out for “faction only” items like pets.

There are some pets that only one faction has access to. For instance:

[tag]Alliance[/tag]: Kitten Vendor in Elwynn Forest.
[tag]Horde[/tag]: Snake Vendor in Orgrimmar.

What I like to do is buy these pets for a cheap price straight from the vendor, and take them to the universal [tag]auction house[/tag] and sell them to the opposite Faction!

Since that side does not have access to them, you can make a killing off of them! I used to sell them for 8g a piece. AND THEY SOLD!

To find great vanity items and ideas for [tag]vanity items[/tag]. All you have to do is constantly check patch notes, and frequently check thottbot for new items.

That’s all I do. When I see new items (like the blood elf bandana) I go after it and try to sell it for high prices. It works because no one has seen these items before and they just “HAVE” to get one.

This makes grinding for cash a lot more fun because you are getting quick kills on mobs that can be countless levels below you, and get a huge pay out for a “frequent” drop rate. I hoped you enjoyed this short guide to making WoW gold.

In the mean time, I recommend checking out the Derek’s Gold Making Guide this is a guide I created for you guys, packed to the top with all my information on Gold Farming and it’s value is priceless. From the testimonials I know it’s clearly one of the best WoW Gold Making guides out there.

So while your waiting for new content make sure you stop and check out the best WoW Gold making guide - It will bring you a flood stream of gold to your account.

After Reading that Guide you will never have to buy gold for WoW again.

There has been a lot of talk about [tag]Gold Making Guides[/tag] since Burning Crusade was released. Simply because of the new Epic Flying Mount weighing in at 5,000g.

Everyone claimed it wouldn’t be hard to farm this amount of gold, because the gold drop rate was going up, and the item prices were going up. This is true, but it’s still 5,000g!

The prices of gold have dropped, but buying an [tag]epic flying mount[/tag] would still be an outrageous price.

I have used, and always will use methods I taught myself for farming gold. I no longer have to sit around killing mob after mob trying to grind out another 1,000g. Ever since I bought my first epic mount I never dropped below 1,300g again.

I use very simple strategies that are obviously overlooked. World of Warcraft is truly just another “Market” that each and every player has the power to manipulate.

There are plenty of different ways to farm for gold. Some players sit and farm epic items, and when they finally do see those epic drops, they sell them off for high return rates. Others prefer to make crafted items that sell for some nice coin. But others like me, take the best of both worlds, and use the make-up of WoW to their advantage.

It seems even now more crucial to learn how to farm your own gold, because blizzard is really cracking down on security. They are banning account’s left and right for various amounts of gold being transfered back and forth. I would hate to see my account with 3 level 70’s get banned for buying something like 200g.

The answer to the question is to find a method that works for you.

I started by playing the auction house. You can get a free copy of the auctioneer addon at: http://www.auctioneeraddon.com, there are also download and installation instructions there.

Find something on your server that is in high demand (Something that is rarely on the auction house and sells for a high amount of gold). Use the [tag]auctioneer[/tag] add-on to track prices.

Once you find some items that sell for a high amount. It’s time to start doing some research! Search for those items on Thottbot and Allakhazam. Make sure you check BOTH sites. The information does vary, but it will help you make a decision on your next step.

Also on both sites make sure you are reading the comments. These are very important because it’s user feedback on what they do to farm these items, or where they find them or if there are any tricks! Once you get through all of this start putting your new idea to practice. Farm those items. List them on the auction house, the only thing you have to do next is stop by the mailbox to start pulling in your huge lump sums of gold!

This is just one of many [tag]Gold Farming Strategies[/tag] that I do use. If you would like to read more about [tag]World of Warcraft Gold Making Guides[/tag], you should sign up for my list on the right hand side, I am always sending out new tips, hints and tricks.

If you want to get more in-depth with these strategies and bring in loads of gold with minimum work involved. I would check out World of Warcraft Cash Creating Guide

Why does anyone want to [tag]buy World of Warcraft Gold[/tag] Online? There are multiple reasons why you shouldn’t buy Gold, but the most important reason is that it’s going to get your account banned. Each day Blizzard is cracking down on security with the purchase of power leveling, or buying gold. They are even tracking people’s IP’s so that OTHER people can’t farm gold for you.

I have personally lost two accounts for purchasing [tag]Power leveling[/tag] and Gold. The Game Masters at World of Warcraft are doing everything in their power to stop people from using outside resources to take advantage inside the game. Which is why [tag]WoW[/tag] is still the best game around.

With every [tag]MMORPG[/tag] that was created, it was always ruined by hacks, bots, or purchases. Let’s take Diablo II for example. You can basically automate the FULL game with [tag]botting[/tag]. You can turn your character on farm mode, go to sleep for the night wake up with a full inventory of items. This automation makes it so that anyone can play the game, skill no longer matters.

So the question that is still ringing “THEN HOW DO I GET 5,000g FOR MY EPIC MOUNT?!”. Don’t start freaking out! 5,000g is very hard to obtain, yes. That’s why you receive a great prize for doing so.

There are many farming methods, and Gold Secrets that you can obtain to improve your rate of Gold income. As promised I am going to be giving you secrets in my articles - but if you want them sent to you daily, make sure you sign up for my list on the right hand side, so you can get daily tips hints and secrets sent directly to your email.

I want to give you an overview of what I am going to show you. So I will show you the basic ten steps to farming gold. Keep in mind everything below will not speed up your rate of leveling. This is a list of 10 things that are over looked when it comes to collecting gold. If you would like more explanations on these. Sign up to the list on the right.

1. Professions Professions [tag]Professions[/tag]!
2. Pick up everything that drops.
3. Create a Mule character, for quick transferring and sales of items.
4. Farm for Quick Kills, not high drop rate.
5. Low Down time - Increases Gold per hour.
6. Watching the [tag]Auction House[/tag] for deals, and using the Auction house for Profits.
7. Questing Items, Save them all for selling.
8. Prediction of Patch Notes - Prepare for selling in the new patch.
9. Solo instance Speed Farm Runs.
10. Fishing!

Each and every one of the things above creates the best farming environment. I used to spend countless hours farming things for 14g an hour, when I realized some of these methods could give me 60g+ an hour.

I actually didn’t figure most of these methods out on my own. I actually learned these methods from another great player. His name is Luke. Luke and I both started out on the same server, when the game came out. I created a Warlock and he created a Mage. I didn’t know the importance of meeting him, until I left the server, and a few months later came back.

Having regular talks with Luke and his strategy for farming gold was amazing. It took someone who was happy with farming 15g an hour - to farming countless amounts of gold, just by doing practically nothing.

Luke decided to put all of his farming, gold collecting information inside of a guide. Most of this information I got from free from Him during our discussions but I purchased his guide anyways. I wasn’t surprised when I saw over 100 pages of information, a lot of which I have never read before.

What’s the deal with everyone buying Gold for [tag]World of Warcraft[/tag]? Why does everyone need the gold? Why’s it So important? By the time most of you hear this you are already muttering “noob” under your breath, but for those of you who don’t know - It’s both simple and long…EVERYTHING!

We need gold to get equipment, weapons, mounts, recipies, potions and training. We need some gold to complete a few quests, we need it for getting special skills or tomes. Every little thing that you do in WoW is powered by that one thing: [tag]Gold[/tag].

Unfortunately gold takes forever to farm if you are not an expert. Even for great players, your average gold farming is about 65-90gold per hour. Calculate that into buying an epic mount which costs 5,000 gold. That means it could take you anywhere between 57-77 hours to complete it. That’s [tag]farming[/tag] time alone, and only if you know how to farm a good amount of gold per hour. Casual players don’t have the time to waste to farm for something of this sort.

[tag]Gold Farming[/tag] is not fun, and it is certainly not enjoyable. I would rather play the game for the reason I purchased it. Those two reasons are PvP and raiding different bosses with my guild. So thats my personal reason for buying Gold. Being a casual player - if we want to have a competitive character we need to have all our time that we do actually play to be spent on improving our character. We need every shortcut we can fund. Buying Gold is one of those shortcuts!

If you are anything like me, buying a virtual item is absolutely absurd. But lets face it, Warcraft is our Life! We are all addicted and we will never quit as long as [tag]Blizzard[/tag] continues to add content to the game. So when it comes time to make a purchase I need the best price, the cheapest price and I don’t want to hear my buddy two days later tell me about his deal he got that is incredibly lower then the one I got.

So I research, just to find the best deals for the best legit companies to get the quickest gold. Everything I want all in one transaction. Security, Quality, Cheap, and Quick! I’ve purchased over 15,000g through out my career in World of Warcraft, but I’ve actually sold around 25,000g! So I am very experienced when it comes to transferring loads of gold back and forth. To save you a little bit of my research and the trend I seemed to find when it came to gold companies. I always purchase through these companies now because Quality out matches price - even though I will probably find the best prices in the next following links.

>> GamePal - This is my favorite Warcraft Vendor site. They sell absolutely everything I would ever need for Warcraft. Gold, Items, Characters, Leveling, and with 100% speed quality. Their customer support has helped me far and above, to make safe and secure but speedy transactions. Their prices range from server to server, but on the big servers they have the best prices around. On top of all of that - you can get GamePal points to save extra money in the future.

>> IGE - This is my Second favorite, second only because they don’t offer any incentive programs. I bought and sold a lot of Gold though this company and they are quick. Since they are so widely known their prices seem to be a little high - but you get what you pay for - and from IGE you are getting quality service from a heavily known name.

>> BroGame - Close friend of mine has used this company ever since it was created. He started using them for a different game but he showed them to me - Their prices are amazing. Sometimes you will have to wait for your gold, because it takes time for them to farm some amounts of gold. But the prices are unbeatable.

——————

When I look for gold I think it’s very important to include teh fact of how much gold you make per hour vs. the amount your spending on the gold. If it’s going to save you time, then the most is worth it to be spent. You can check your gold farming rate by downloading any of the various toolbars to track the rate of your Gold collection speed.

When you are set and ready to purchase follow the steps below to save the most money on your purchase.

  1. Set an amount of Gold you want to buy.
  2. Compare Companies for that amount only. I would start by the 3 companies I listed because those are usually the best three around. Some companies have DIFFERENT prices per amount. Some companies may have the best price per 500g, but have the WORST price for 750g - it all depends on their different tier pricing scheme. If you want to find out more about Chinese Farming Tier [tag]Gold Selling[/tag] scheme, check out my other article: Cheap WoW Gold.
  3. Check speed of gold transaction. If it is an outrageous wait time, spending a little more money may fit your needs better - Take this into account before you spend your money.
  4. PURCHASE! Then get back to your gaming while you wait for your gold to arrive.

If you want to read more articles on making secure and safe purchases of gold, make sure you check out my other article categories: “[tag]World of Warcraft Gold[/tag]“, and “[tag]world of Warcraft Guide[/tag]“.
